Pier 70

The Building 12 renovation project at Pier 70 in San Francisco, completely revitalized a historic 120,000 s.f., two-story, steel-framed warehouse structure that was originally used for ship repair during World War II. To ensure the maximum lifespan of the building and protect against future flood risks, the entire structure was first lifted 10 feet, allowing for the addition of a new basement and retaining walls. The renovation also included seismic retrofits to bring the building up to code.

As part of the preparation for the Building 12 renovation, the adjacent historical Building 15 underwent major modifications, including stripping its roofing and siding, and was transported 150 feet south for temporary storage. After the roads and site work around Building 12 were completed, Building 15 returned to its original location was set on new concrete piles.

Building 12 now features a state-of-the-art market hall on the ground floor, with maker spaces on the second floor and expansive, modern office space on the third floor.

Java

The office building is a remarkable structure, built entirely of mass timber. It comprises six floors, with an additional one-story events beacon structure attached. As part of the project, Bradley's team is handling several crucial tasks, including excavation and installation of foundations, elevator pits, and the slab on grade. The team is also constructing cast-in-place walls for the events beacon structure, topping slabs over the CLT deck, mechanical pads, and pan stair infill. Bradley's work is critical to the success of the project, and the team's expertise and dedication will undoubtedly play a vital role in its completion.

Genesis Parking Structure

Bradley partnered with the general contractor to successfully convert 200,000 s.f. of offices on six floors into biology labs, while minimizing disruption to building occupants. Our team's expertise and collaborative approach enabled us to deliver this complex project on time and within budget. In addition to the lab conversion, we also constructed a seven-story, 1007-stall, cast-in-place concrete parking garage, providing much-needed parking space for the building's occupants.

Cordilleras

Bradley provided concrete services for this important mental health facility, which comprises five buildings, including a structural podium. Our team installed a one-level structural podium deck, complete with various foundations and structural matt slabs at each of the five buildings. One of the most challenging aspects of the project was constructing a large radius wall water tank on the side of a steep hill, which required our team's expertise and experience to execute with precision.

Despite the project's complexities, Bradley's team remained dedicated to delivering exceptional workmanship and quality throughout every stage of the construction process. We are proud of our contribution to this project, which will provide essential services and support to those in need of mental health care."

400 California

Bradley Concrete provided structural upgrades of the high-rise tower and adjacent bank building at 400 California Street in San Francisco. Despite this project being highly complex and requiring work in an extremely confined space, the team successfully installed the foundation for a state-of-the-art structural steel dampening system that enabled the safe separation of the two buildings, which were leaning on each other.

In addition, the team also installed topping slabs, cast in place walls, shotcrete, and structural beams, and columns. Bradley collaborated closely with the general contractor to develop intricate Life Safety and Emergency evacuation plans to ensure the safety of all involved.
